Gold Trap EA is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor built for Gold (XAUUSD). It combines an automated grid with a controlled martingale recovery basket, and closes the whole basket together at a defined profit target. Every setting is exposed in a clean, grouped input panel, so you stay in control of risk, grid distance and lot growth.
Initial entry: opens the first trade on XAUUSD using an optional moving-average trend filter, or opens both directions at once (selectable entry mode).
Grid recovery: if price moves against the basket, new orders are added at fixed distances. Two grid steps are available: a tighter step for the first levels and a wider step for deeper levels.
Lot multiplier: each new grid order increases in size by a configurable multiplier and strength, which pulls the average entry price closer to the market.
Basket take profit: instead of targeting each trade separately, the EA closes the entire basket together when it reaches a USD profit target or a set distance in points from the average entry price.
Separate Buy and Sell baskets: two independent magic numbers keep the Buy basket and the Sell basket from mixing.

Max orders per basket to cap how deep the grid can go.
Emergency drawdown stop (% of balance) that closes everything and pauses trading for the day.
Daily profit target that closes all baskets and stops new trades until the next day.
Max spread filter to avoid opening orders during wide spreads.
Trading time filter (server time) for new baskets, with an option to keep recovery orders running outside the window.
Margin check before every order, so the EA never sends an order the account cannot carry.
Minimum delay between orders to prevent rapid-fire entries.
🖥️ Dashboard & Controls
Live on-chart panel: current time, status, open Buy / Sell orders, lot totals and floating profit/loss.
BOT ON / OFF button on the chart. When OFF, no new baskets are opened while existing baskets continue until they close. The button state is remembered after a terminal restart.
Clear order comments: GoldTrap B1, B2, B3… for buys and GoldTrap S1, S2, S3… for sells, restarting from 1 after each basket closes.

Basket state is rebuilt from your open positions, so the EA picks up correctly after an MT5 restart.
Trading pauses automatically while the terminal is disconnected, trading is disabled, or the market is closed.
Basket close is retried until all positions are closed.
Optional license protection by account ID and expiry date.
